Two-Decades Worth Of Your Fetishes

If anybody knows, it’s Clips4Sale.

The massive porn clip depository has just released a report culling data from the past 20 years, revealing the evolution of viewers' tastes regarding kink and fetish scenes. It seems the progression of our naughty needs in more niche sexual areas is as much influenced by our culture (no surprise there) as shows a wider diversity in what people are now searching for in their streaming video naughty needs.

As we did here reporting on porn viewing trends, this Clips4Sale report gets down deeper into viewers’ fetishes and kinks. As a C4S rep said: “The C4S data shows how responsive global sexual interests can be to culture and context.”

The findings

As the Clips4Sale blog, aptly entitled “How 20 Years of Online Sex Has Changed the World,” states “While some fetishes, like bondage and tickling, are nearly as strong now as they were 20 years ago, others have seen a precipitous rise (like giantess, our 2024 Fetish of the Year) or fall (cast fetish).”

However, the C4S report reveals that the biggest change the company saw across its two-decade-long metric study was the “sheer diversity of fetishes.” These include a veritable explosion of searching for naughty superheroines, giant ladies (as mentioned above), and cuckolding. Some of those sexual interests on the downside of viewer’s interest include clips based around or including spitting, and high heels.

Little Ivy from the Clips4Sale Lil_Ivy's “Romper Room” had this to say about the progression of her particular fetish:

"Age play" (and the now coined "Darker Age Play"- which is age regression/ AB/DL, DD/LG, MD/LG, Infantilism, DL with sexual themes) has become mainstream in the last 10 years. When I started in the scene in the early 2000's nothing was out there to fulfill that kink. At all. It was ‘taboo’ and just not talked about. It had a tone of mostly older men and now the age range is 18-50 plus and includes EVERY ONE.  I mean it. People add a Furry dynamic to their age play. Poly families will add a Little to their dynamic to create a nuclear chosen family. Many add this to their lifestyle to decompress at the end of the day. Some just like wearing diapers for comfort and security- to feel good.”

Fetishes like gooning, ASMR, and digital submission are new and on the rise in searches as well.

The Clips4Sale findings also revealed that viewers enjoy fetish fare from smaller independent creators (of which Clips4Sale is especially conversant) more than those coming from larger studios. This evolution gives rise to more specific fetish content creation and consumption and in the end, more variations on fetishes with sometimes one person or a small cadre of interested friends (like the crew Ivy employs), producing specific stuff for a rabid fan base well versed in the fetish.

From these burgeoning symbiotic buyer/creator relationships, C4S has seen some fetishes grow (as they have seen their business model explode), and interests delving deeper into specific to dyed-in-the-leather kinks. Foot fetishes, for instance, is indicated in the report as stepping into a greater specificity for viewers; foot worship, tickling, foot fights, sweaty feet, and pedal pumping, are on the rise.

The future of fetish

Assuming, as we all do, that AI tools will be added into the mix very soon, if they aren’t already, Clips4Sale figures there is a “new generation of kinks, fetishes, and sexualities that we haven’t imagined yet!”

Ivy weighs in over the entire fetish/niche sexual trend so many people seem to seek....or wish they could.

“Our sex maps are very complicated. We can try and grasp why our specific kinks make us excited, but it's difficult. Not everyone has hardship in their lives, ergo a fetish can emerge. Many kinksters come from a "normal" childhood and upbringing, there is nothing to suggest trauma has molded their fetish No one should ever feel embarrassed internally about what they like, there is no shame. Celebrate yourself!”
