Ortho Evra

Ortho Evra is a contraceptive skin patch that works much like other hormonal methods of birth control, by releasing hormones into the body. The hormones in the Ortho Evra patch are estrogen and progestin, the same ones found in birth control pills. The name brand Ortho Evra patch was discontinued in late 2014, but a generic version remains available.

More About Ortho Evra

The Ortho Evra patch works, much like birth control pills, on a 3 weeks on, one week off cycle. A new patch is applied once a week from 3 consecutive weeks with no patch applied during week 4.
