Bottom's Up Bondage Position

The Bottom's Up Bondage position is a sex chaise position that lets you safely enjoy the fun of inverted sex positions without any of the danger. Plus, there's bondage!

Illustrated sex position. The receiver is laying semi-inverted with their hips at the tallest point of the Liberator Black Label Esse Chaise and their head at the lowest point of the shape. Their wrist is bound to the base of the Liberator Black Label Esse Chaise. The penetrating partner is standing at the end of the Liberator Black Label Esse Chaise to slide inside. | Kinkly Shop

To get into this sex position, the receiving partner sits on the tallest end of the sex chaise and carefully lays backwards, settling their upper back into the middle curve of the chaise. If desired, the penetrating partner can then bind the laying partner's wrists onto the sex furniture. From here, the penetrating partner can stand at the end of the sex chaise for penetration.

More about the Bottom's Up Bondage Sex Position

The Bottom's Up Bondage positions offers all of the fun of a unique, inverted sex position without any of the danger. With the sex chaise providing full support to the partner who is laying "bottoms up," both partners can relax into the fun of an inverted sex position without worrying about anyone accidentally falling.

Inverted sex positions have some fun benefits too! Sex can feel entirely different with blood rushing to the head. Some people say their orgasms feel way more powerful! The receiver may also fall in love with the feeling of having their butt on display too; it can feel very vulnerable and intimate to have your hips closer to your partner's face than your own face.

This vulnerability can really partner well with bondage if you have a sex chaise with those capabilities. If you have a Valkyrie sex lounger, your bondage points can be anywhere along the side of the sex furniture, letting you choose where the receiving partner is bound. Placing the wrists above the head can add to the vulnerability, but binding the wrists towards the hips offers a more neutral spine position for added comfort.

Even without bondage, though, the Bottom's Up Bondage sex position offers a whole lot of g-spot and p-spot potential. This inverted position makes it easier for the penetrating partner to hit that innermost spot with minimal effort; it's just kinda…there!

Once you're both in position, this position puts the receiving partner's sex bits within easy reach of the penetrating partner. This can be a great way to add more stimulation with a sex toy or with their hand. The receiving partner can also pleasure themselves, if desired, but only if the hands aren't bound up!

The Bottom's Up Bondage position can be brought to life on any sex chaise or tantra sex chair. The illustration is based on the Liberator Lyza Lounger Valkyrie with movable bondage points. You'll likely find it difficult to recreate this sex position without a sex chaise. There aren't many average surfaces around our homes designed for holding someone in a semi-inverted position with their hips at the perfect height for penetration. If you're on a budget, however, the Liberator Hipster offers a "light" version of the experience when placed on the edge of a bed.

Modifying the Bottom's Up Bondage Position

One of the most difficult things about getting into the Bottom's Up Bondage position is going to be, quite literally, getting into it. While the sex chaise offers the curves you need to bring the position to life, laying down with the butt higher than the head can be a scary trust fall.

Adding to the complexity, you need the receiver's hips to stay close enough to the edge of the tantra chair to make it possible for the penetrating partner to get in there. If the receiver slides down too far while getting into position, it can be difficult to slide back up, against gravity. Be prepared for a few redos while getting into this position for the first time. It's totally normal, so try to not get frustrated if it happens to you!

If the receiving partner is finding it really difficult to sit on the highest peak and lay backwards, you can offer a partner-supported descent. The penetrating partner can sit at the lowest curve, straddling the shape and facing the highest peak. The receiving partner can then sit at this highest peak, with their back toward their partner. The penetrating partner can then place their hands on the receiver's back, helping them gently lower backwards until their back is laying on the penetrating partner's chest. It'll take some maneuvering to get untangled, but the penetrating partner can scoot out from underneath, leaving the receiving partner's upper body to gently land on the lowest part of the sex chaise.

Getting into this position, and staying comfortable in an inverted position, are not for everyone. This position puts demands on the body that may not be a good fit for you, and that's okay! Sex is about the connection and pleasure, and if the Bottom's Up Bondage position isn't giving you those things, just select a different position.

There are other sex chaise bondage positions that take inversion out of the picture entirely, allowing you to enjoy your sex furniture without being "bottoms up."
