Sex Gone Viral 2: This Week’s Salacious Stories

Welcome to Kinkly's second installment of “Sex Gone Viral,” where we bring you quick snap shots of interesting/sexy/fun and flirty news stories that took over the Internet each week.

Here are this week's salacious stories:

The ongoing saga of the “HAWK TUAH” girl

This week TMZ revealed that “HAWK TUAH” girl Haliey Welch is now selling autographed cards. Sold in packs with one numbered card containing a random inserted inscription inserted, plus green and red ink autographs, these cards, sold by Texas-based company Leaf Trading Cards, are reportedly the only Hawk Tuah certified autographs available on the market.

Unfortunately for all you “HAWK TUAH” girl fans, they're already completely sold out.

NSFW Island

After the Peacock reality show, Love Island, premiered its sixth season finale, a contestant from that show, Kendall Washington had his phone returned. He subsequently found NSFW pics of himself leaked on the internet.

A rather calm Washington wrote on his Instagram that although the situation is “unfortunate,” this is the price one pays for reality show appearances.

It shouldn't have to be this way, though, and there is currently legislation in Congress that would force social media platforms to remove NSFW videos that were posted without the subject's permission. The wild part? The legislation is being championed by... Ted Cruz.

Picasso Gender Wars: But Picasso wasn’t even involved

A recent exhibition of Pablo Picasso paintings in an Australian art museum were thought so valuable that their viewing was restricted to just women. Because apparently men can't be trusted with art? Of course, this provoked a gender discrimination lawsuit, which the gallery answered by re-hanging the paintings in a women’s restroom to sidestep any further legal wrangling.

This week, Kirsha Kaechele, the curator of the women-only exhibition, revealed that the paintings were not Picassos, but imitations she herself had painted. She went on to say that the women's-only exhibit that had created so much scandal was her attempt to give women a place to enjoy art and each other without the presence of men as well as a commentary on all the spaces that have historically excluded women. This may be the best example of self-marketing in the history of art.

Barbarella Once Again

The opening, slow-mo, weightless stripping scene of the Roger Vadim-directed sci-fi romp Barbarella is arguably one of the better-known sexy moments from 1960’s cinema. Jane Fonda as the title character leaves viewers breathless in her camp rendering of the space adventurer, while cavorting in some of the most imaginative costumes, created by the Fonda-picked team of designer Jacques Fonteray and manufacturer Sartoria Farani.

With a remake of the movie coming, starring Sydney Sweeney, Dynamite Comics announced that they will be publishing a new Barbarella comic series. The pics they revealed this week show the empowered, sex-positive character is still at the top of her game.
