When Does Your Penis Stop Growing?

Anxiety over penis size is so common that it’s almost a right of passage. We all worry that we are too small, too skinny, and hope to one day have a cock that inspires lust in our fans and fear in our enemies. If we've reached a certain age, is there still time to achieve this dream? When exactly does your penis stop growing?

The truth is most of us have perfectly fine peckers and we just worry about it too much. We’ll show you the data on when penis growth stops and how to make the most out what what you’re packing.

When does the penis start growing?

For me, it’s usually when they call me “Daddy."

Oh, you meant…

Well, in terms of growth over your life, your penis will hit its first growth spurt when puberty hits. When puberty hits and how it changes you is different for everyone. Some get whacked with the Testosterone stick early at the age of nine while some folks are late bloomers at around 14.

How big your growing penis gets and how fast is up to your hormones as well. Testosterone levels play a big factor in the speed and age of your biggest growth spurt. That being said, the overall size of your junk, like almost everything else about your body, is determined by genetics.

When does the penis stop growing?

It makes sense, with puberty being the most dramatic period of change in our bodies, that your final penis growth age would be at the end of it.

Like the onset of puberty, this varies from person to person, but your dick stops growing when you reach maturity, in general, around 18-21 years old. You might notice some extra growth in your early 20s, but nothing dramatic.

Gaining a substantial amount of weight can make your cock look smaller, and there may be more changes down the road thanks to our aging bodies, but you're pretty much stuck with what you have by the end of puberty.

What is a micropenis?

A micropenis is not just a smaller-than-average penis.

People with micropenises have a penis length when stretched, that is 2.5 deviations below the average. So, if the average stretched penis length is 5.25”, then an adult micropenis would only stretch to 3.67” or less.

Micropenises typically occur due to a lack of testosterone while in the womb and can be accompanied by other hormonal disorders. The most common is hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, AKA Low-T.

For those who are scrambling for a ruler right now, calm down. First of all, actual micropenises are rare. Second, even if you have one, it’s nothing to feel ashamed of. You can still have a hot and steamy sex life with a micropenis

If you do have a micropenis and are unhappy about it, you could work on your self-acceptance through therapy or support groups. You could also talk to your doctor about treatments like hormone therapies or surgery. Just be sure to go over all of the risks with your doctor. We are talking about your dick here, so best to be cautious.

Is penis enlargement really a thing?

Besides surgeries that offer minimal benefits, no. Don’t fall for big-dick pills or lotions. At best, there is no evidence that they work. At worst, they could be harmful.

Tools like penis pumps can bulk up your boner temporarily. These use vacuum pressure to flood your phallus with blood, making it seem longer and thicker. Again, these effects are not long-lasting.

Penis stretching may also look like it works, but you would need to do it for hours a day for months on end for a minuscule amount of extra length.

Honestly, the best form of penis enlargement is pumping it up emotionally. Instead of driving yourself crazy, and possibly hurting yourself, try working on your self-acceptance and confidence.

Sure, you can’t bring a solemn and respectful silence every time you whip it out in the locker room, but you’ve got a perfectly good cock. Be proud of your peen, no matter the size!

Size Doesn't Define You

Seriously, let’s talk about this.

As mentioned above, the average penis length when stretched is around 5 inches. That’s what most people are rocking downstairs with a fair amount smaller than that. And guess what? The world keeps spinning.

Remember that good sex isn’t just about size. You need good communication and a willingness to explore. Work with what you have and get your technique down. If you still don’t feel like that’s enough, you have hands and a mouth so use those to please your playmate.

Being confident and competent is 1000 times sexier than a well-hung lazy lover.

Everyone’s body is different, but the people having the most fun are the ones with a healthy dose of self-love and body positivity.

Think of it this way: Your dick is a character actor, not a movie star. But, just because no one has a poster of you on their wall doesn’t mean you ain’t got Oscars on the shelf.

The Bottom Line

Your penis grows the most starting with the onset of puberty and stops growing when you hit your early 20s. There are lots of factors that effect when and how quickly it happens, but when your penis stops growing, you got what your DNA gave you.

No matter what size you end up with, nothing is stopping you from being a goddamn sexual Tyrannosaur.

You don’t need a big dick to have big dick energy.
