Clone-A-Pussy Plus+ Sleeve Kit: Sex Toy Review

Cloning your pussy - like most things in life - is about the journey.

The Product: Clone-a-Pussy Plus+ Sleeve Kit

The Verdict:

I must admit I was a bit hesitant about cloning my own pussy. I had concerns. Was it safe? What kinds of materials would I be putting on my delicate parts? Would it pull on my pubic hair? And why? Did I really need a copy of my pussy? Did my husband need one? What I found out was, like most things in life, cloning your own pussy isn’t just about the end result. It’s about the journey. Here's my review of testing out the Clone-a-Pussy Plus+ Sleeve Kit.

I told my husband I had a project for us to do together. An art project. He loves crafting, even when it has nothing to do with my pussy. So, I figured he would enjoy this. I was right.

I also hate anything that comes with directions. I really needed his help with this.

As it turns out, cloning your pussy is actually a two-person job.

Product Overview

The Clone-a-Pussy Plus+ Sleeve Kit comes with the following:

  • Black molding cup
  • White molding cup
  • Body-safe molding power - enough for two molds
  • 2-part 100% platinum cure silicone
  • 3 mixing sticks
  • Molding ball wedge
  • Water-based lube
  • Masturbation sleeve
  • Stabilizing cuff

The kit is designed to help you make not just a replica of your pussy, but a fully-penetrable masturbation sleeve your partner can actually use. The kit includes everything you'll need except a few household items, including a measuring cup, large mixing bowl, spoon, timer, disposable paper or plastic cup and scissors.

Cloning a Pussy: Making the Mold

We got the materials all laid out and gathered what else was required - a mixing bowl, spoon, paper cup and measuring cup. As he read over the directions (the recommendation is to read all directions before starting so you know what’s coming next), I took my skirt and panties off and stood over the toilet with scissors, giving my pubes a nice trim.

“What do you think?” I asked. “Is it complicated? Can we do it?”

“We got this,” he reassured me.

The first trick was to come up with my positioning. We looked at my inner lips. They are really inner. We figured we would need to pull back my outer lips in order to expose my inner lips and clitoral head. He was saying how some women have their inner lips hanging out beyond the outer. That’s not me. “But look!” I pulled at my inner lips to show them off. “Mine can go out far too! They’re just curled up all cozy in there.”

We came up with a plan. I would put one foot up on a step ladder and I would use my hands to spread my outer lips and expose my inner lips and clitoral head. Meanwhile, he would mix the molding material and then place it on my vulva and I would hold it in place.

I got in position and my husband started measuring and mixing. You add water to the powder provided and it creates something that looks a bit like cottage cheese. (The molding material is algae-based and body-safe.) You mix for 45 seconds only. It’s important not to go over time as the material will start to set. Then you pour it into a small black cup that comes with the kit and quickly put it in place over your spread vulva.

As I was holding it there, I got a bit nervous. What if it stuck? What if it pulled my pubes off? Ouch. The directions say to hold it in place for two to three minutes. Somewhere around 2.5 minutes, I began to slowly pull the cup away from my genitals and all my fears were gone. It came away easily and only a few little bits were still on my hair. They cleaned up no problem.

We looked at it. Hmm, we weren’t sure we had done it right. It was a bit underwhelming. It didn’t look like much of a pussy.

Fortunately, the kit comes with enough powder for two molds. “Let’s do it again,” he said. “Maybe we didn’t do it right.”

So we set that one aside and started again with the mixing and counting to 45. We positioned my lips a little differently this time, hoping for a more pronounced effect. But somehow some of the cottage-cheese-like substance fell out of the cup and slid down my leg onto the bathroom floor.

“Oops” he said apologetically.

No worries. It cleans up easy. I waited the two minutes and slowly pulled the black cup away. It looked pretty similar to the first one, but even less pussyish. We decided to go with the first mold.

A Squishy, Bright Pink Bit of "Flesh"

The next step is to mix the silicone. It is in a liquid form. It is hot pink. This is the color of the final product. Given how fluorescent it is, I don’t think it is meant to be skin tone. Some people may appreciate a product that is skin tone, and the manufacturer does provide three more realistic options here.

Next, you pour the liquid into the sleeve and put the mold in. They give you a special tool to use to create the slit that will be the vaginal opening. This is key. Otherwise, you will have created a nice art piece of your vulva, but not a functional masturbation sleeve. Once you have it all set up, you let it sit for eight hours. Ours ended up sitting for longer than that. We got a late start, so eight hours would have been 2 a.m. Too late for crafting.

The next day we were ready to see our end result. It was a little tricky to pull it out, but we managed using a gentle touch. With small scissors, we trimmed off any excess bits of silicone. Then, we place the sleeve back inside the toy and placed our very own vulva replica on top. We were excited. The final squishy, bright pink bit of “flesh” looked pretty cool. And, in the end, it actually looked like a vulva. My vulva.

With all of the options out there to alter our genitals to conform to some mostly unattainable, made-up and sometimes bizarre ideal, it's nice to see a product that is about honoring what is.

I asked my husband how it felt for him to participate.

“I felt an intimacy with your vulva that I didn’t before.”

I think that is part of the point of the process. Whether you do it yourself or with a lover or trusted friend as an assistant, cloning your pussy offers an opportunity to consider your own vulva as valued and appreciated. With all of the options out there to alter our genitals to conform to some mostly unattainable, made-up and sometimes bizarre ideal, it's nice to see a product that is about honoring what is. Your vulva is beautiful and unique. Why not share that beauty with a lover in the form of a gift and a fun crafting project?
