A dungeon monitor is the person in charge of supervising the dungeon at a BDSM event or fetish club. This is typically someone who is very experienced and possibly formally educated in BDSM and safer sex practices. They are typically required to be trained in first aid as well as BDSM safety. Their job is to monitor the dungeon or playspace and ensure that everything going on in it stays safe and to stop anything that is putting anyone in danger. When a dungeon monitor calls for a play scene to be stopped, all activity in that scene must stop immediately.
