The term genetic girl is typically used to refer to someone who is considered female biologically, psychologically and socially/culturally. In the most literal sense, most people would say that this refers to a person who is born with two X chromosomes, appears to be female, is raised as a female and identifies as female. However, because biology can be remarkable variable, this term can get complicated. It is also sometimes considered derogatory by women who were raised as girls from birth, and by some trans women who feel that chromosomes are not the only thing that can be used to define womanhood.
