Male-bodied refers to someone who either is born a male and has the body parts associated with being a cis-male or the male biological status of a trans-individual. The term is meant to be used to only refer to the presentation of the body and it is not meant to determine whether or not someone is masculine.
Male-bodied only refers to the presentation of the body, regardless of the gender or the chosen gender of the individual. It does not define whether someone is "masculine" or a "real man." For some trans-individuals, the physical characteristics of their bodies, male or female, is not an issue. Rather. it is the gender assignment, given at birth, that is problematic.
