Prostate Gland

The prostate gland is a muscular gland located at the neck of the male bladder and the beginning of the urethra. This walnut-sized gland secretes a milky, alkaline fluid that helps protect the sperm from the acidic environment in the vagina. Muscles in the prostate gland help propel semen during male orgasm.

Along with aiding sexual reproduction, the prostate gland is also a great source of sexual pleasure for many men. In fact, this gland is often referred to as the male G-spot, or P-spot. Massaging the prostate gland can often bring on more powerful and satisfying orgasms.

More About Prostate Gland

A man can stimulate his own prostate while masturbating or his partner can stimulate it during oral sex or manual stimulation. The prostate can be stimulated externally by pressing upward on the perineum, the area between the scrotum and anus, but the most pleasurable sensations often come from stimulating it internally.

Internal stimulation of the prostate involves penetrating the anus, such as with fingers or a sex toy. Prostate massagers are male sex toys sold specifically for this purpose. Before inserting anything into the anus, however, be sure to use a good amount of lubricant. Start by massaging and rubbing the outside of the anus. Once relaxed, a finger or toy can be gently inserted. The prostate is roughly two inches into the rectum on the wall that faces the front of the body.
