Sexism occurs everyday, everywhere. There is no exception. It can be perpetrated by anyone, including ourselves. Its forms can vary. It can be as simple as thinking an erring driver must be a woman. It can reflect in how daughters are treated, compared to how sons are treated. It is important to remain aware about intentions and biases. Schools, businesses, and other organizations regularly conduct sensitivity training, which can be useful in helping people rethink their preconceived ideas.
