Fans, friend and casual onlookers so often ask of a cam girl, “So, how did a nice girl like you end up on cam?” This week we all get “all the juicy details” as host Brittany Giese says, as she interviews Livejasmin webcam girl Em on The Life in Red Podcast.
Meet Emmy
Beautiful and busy Emmy Meadows is relatively new to camming, in it for just about a year now. Her previous jobs include dog groomer and aesthetician, but the idea of camming was in her mind for a while, and she is thrilled as she says to be working such a potentially lucrative revenue source where she is in charge of her destiny.
Already in the video game streaming world, Em saw the jump into professional cam modeling as an easy one. She loves what she calls the “personal interaction” now mixing “business with pleasure,” as camming allows, and what she is presently doing on LiveJasmin seems a smart progression for her.
An interesting challenge
What’s especially interesting about Emmy and the way camming surely dovetails with her personal life is that she faces the particular challenge of having Crohn's disease. It is not the most pleasure feeling for her to work when she's not feeling so great, and making her living, which she does pretty much exclusively on cam these days, is perfect for the sometimes restrictive nature of her lifestyle.
It’s not the easiest thing for people to get up and go to work or even log on to a job when suffering the symptoms of Emmy’s disease, as host Brittany points out. But with her smile and good nature, Emmy bounces back responding that even in those times she can’t get on cam, the Livejasmin platform allows her the ability to set up a phone chat with a fan, put up new content, and even send personalized photos to a fan’s inbox.
She surely can keep connected as much as she likes.
A master of her own domain
This sense of Em taking complete control of her work is what we get most from this latest Life in the Red interview (and what many cam girls say is the best part of the job…beyond the money). Surely, Emmy’s income can fluctuate based on platform dynamics and demand, but the cam business allows her to be her own boss, manage her schedule, and enjoy her work. By setting clear boundaries (which cam models surely learn as they become more familiar with the work) creating professional-looking, welcoming home setups, and diplomatically brushing past negative comments and some sure mainstream shaming of the industry, Emy proudly offers not just sexual gratification but genuine connections, all while building emotional intimacy with the people she talks to.
