Chair bondage refers to a bondage position in which a person is tied to a chair. This position is typical of early bondage images which featured damsel-in-distress scenarios (think Bettie Page).
To assume this position, you just need a sturdy chair and some bindings. One person sits in the chair and is then bound to it. There are a number of ways this position can be customized to allow comfort, or to make it less comfortable, depending on the experience you’re looking for.

Chair bondage is a great beginner bondage position because it can be completely comfortable and relatively safe. With wrists tied to the arms of a chair and ankles tied to the legs, you get a fairly restrictive position with little or no discomfort. For additional restraint, the bound person's torso can be tied to the back of the chair as well. Like with most bondage, the sense of vulnerability can be increased with the addition of a blindfold and/or a gag.
