Shrimp Tie Bondage Position

The Shrimp position begins like a typical lotus or meditation pose and then gets more advanced.

Shrimp Tie Bondage Position. A person is bent over, sitting with their legs crossed, while rope connects their neck to their ankles. This rope is pulled tight to force the bound person into a deep bend.

In this position, the bound person sits cross legged with kinky restraints binding the crossed legs. The upper part of the body is then pulled towards the legs, often by attaching a rope between the bound legs and a pre-tied chest harness. While this position is easiest to do with a partner doing all of the bondage work, many self-riggers enjoy this as a solo position with their arms left free.

For a more gentle approach, the hands can also be tied into a prayer pose in the front of the body.

More About Shrimp Tie Bondage Position

This position was developed as a stress position for prisoners, and it lives up to its history.

It is essential to make sure the bound person is able to breath freely at all times and that the position not be held beyond their endurance. Since this position requires the bound person to bend over and compress the lungs, it can quickly make it difficult to breath, and close supervision is required to ensure the bound person's safety.

This position can be easily modified in intensity by lengthening - or shortening - the rope that connects the chest harness to the legs. This expands - or contracts - the angle of compression that the bound person receives. Loosening the connecting point between the chest harness and the legs allows for easier breathing and comfort for the bound person. To further reduce the strain of the position, leave the arms free - or consider restraining them to the sides of the thighs to reduce strain on the chest.
