Sex Toy Review: Tantus Realdoe Feeldoe Double-Ended Dildo
For a plug-and-play toy, this takes some work to get the settings right.
The Product: Tantus Realdoe Feeldoe Double-Ended Dildo
The Verdict : (out of five)
The Tantus Realdoe Feeldoe is a strapless strap-on with a fairly straightforward design. The idea is that one person inserts the plug-like end into themselves and their own muscles hold the toy in place - no harness required. Of course, the other end of this toy looks like a standard dildo. So, this toy is designed to be as much fun for the user as it is for her partner. Use it forward, backward, any sort of way you would use a standard dildo!
My partner and I recently tried this toy out - with and without getting kinky.
The Toy
Tantus Realdoe Feeldoe is cleverly designed. Not only is this a unique concept, but Tantus has really thought of a lot of things to ensure that both people using this toy get off. There are ridges strategically placed at the base of the dildo to assist in clitoral stimulation for the wearer. There's also a place to insert a bullet-style vibrator (it comes included with the toy).
The Realdoe Feeldoe is made of premium silicone, so not only does it have a great feel, it is also easy to clean. This toy (and the included bullet) are also fully waterproof. And, if you remove the bullet, this dildo can be bleached, boiled or even thrown in the dishwasher for sanitization. For those more into the strength of numbers, the plug-like end has a diameter of 1.5 inches, while the dildo end has a diameter of 1.6 inches; the length of the bulb is 2.5 inches, but the dildo end is approximately 6 inches. This definitely isn't the biggest dildo out there, but it's aiming for a realistic size and feel. (There's also a Realdoe Stout if you need more.)

What Turned Us On
The Feeldoe comes in a selection of colors. We ended up getting the flesh-toned one; you can see slight veining on it, which for us was a plus (although some of you may prefer the other fun colors in which the toy is available, including red , purple and blue ). Not having to deal with harnesses and fidgeting into straps was a definite plus in terms of ease of use.
Plus, when the penetrating partner puts the dildo on, the plug-like end can feel amazing, especially with a dollop of lube. Mmmmm.
Feeldoe is also great for gender play. For those interested in power play, this might be a good choice as well.
What Turned Us Off
The penetrating partner (the one wearing the Feeldoe, in other words) has to have toned pelvic muscles to be able to wear this well; the plug-like end has a tendency of moving too much, which may mean you'll have to hold it or steady it with a hand (or brace it against furniture, floors, sex furniture, something). For a toy that prides itself on not requiring a strap, this can be a major issue.
The Verdict
As a strapless strap-on, our criterion prioritized the ability to use the Feeldoe without anything bracing (no harness, no other supports). While the plug-like end can feel amazing, it takes more time and effort to keep the toy from slipping out unintentionally (especially if you're using lube). The vibrator does not make any difference in terms of the slippage problem either. With a partner and more movement involved, things can get complicated really quickly; sometimes the toy was perfectly behaved, sometimes it kept slipping or moving around, leading to many an awkward laugh - or just the fashioning of a rope harness, because we're like that.
Final Thoughts
The Realdoe Feeldoe is enjoyable, but it's exercise - and you'll have to exercise patience when using this toy. Other than that, we have had some of the best orgasms so far with the Feeldoe. We're giving it three hearts out of five.
