Omniromantic refers to one who experiences romantic attraction to people of various gender identities and sexes. The "romantic" portion of the term refers to a desire to engage in romantic relationships. This is how this term differs from terms ending in "sexual" such as "omnisexua,l" which refer to one's sexual partner preference.
Omniromantic sounds very similar to panromantic, but they are actually distinct. The difference lies mainly in the perception of gender. While a panromantic individual may perceive gender as an irrelevant construct and adopt more of a "people are people" approach, an omniromantic recognizes the different genders and distinct identities that exist within the construct, but they do not affect their partner choices.
