Intercourse can already feel amazing, but what if you could make it even better?
Yeah, that's right: the sex positions you choose could stimulate the prostate. Not only would you get the already-amazing sensations of intercourse, but you'd get the added bonus of stimulating one of the most orgasmic erogenous zones. It isn't called "the male G-spot" for nothing.

And prostate orgasms? Well, they'd be possible!
It's the sex version of having your cake and eating it too! No wonder people love prostate sex positions so much!
Here we'll provide some tips on how to stimulate the prostate in penetrative sex positions and provide some of our favorite sex positions for doing that.
Make Prostate Sex Positions Work for YOUR Bodies
Just like choosing sex positions for G-spot play, sex positions that target the prostate can help you hit the prostate during penetration, but they aren't miracle workers. If you've never found your prostate or aren't turned on, we can't guarantee prostate bliss.
That said, there's a way to improve your chances! Just make sure to know where your prostate is - and what motions and movements best hit it. This might mean playing with fingers, prostate massagers, or dildos for a bit to explore what works best. Once you have that data, you can easily apply it to any sex position (including these!) to best figure out how to hit your or your partner's P-spot!
Everyone's anatomy is also different. That means a penis curve or pronounced pelvic tilt could change how the sex position feels on both of your bodies! So if the first prostate sex position doesn't work, consider trying a new one. "Oh no, even more sex! How terrible!"

The uniqueness of our bodies and our sexual responses are part of what make sex so amazing, so don't be afraid to toss one position out the window if it just isn't working for you. You know your body better than anyone else!
That being said, if you're using a strap-on dildo and harness to achieve these sex positions, you might consider swapping up the dildo - or even twisting the way the dildo is facing inside of the harness - to get the sensations you're seeking. If you have the ability to swap out your "penis", why not use it? You might find a longer, shorter, thicker, or slimmer dildo helps hit the prostate better than your original choice.
Now, on to some of our favorite prostate-focused sex positions!
Leapfrog Sex Position
Starting easy, I bet you can see exactly how the Leapfrog Position would nestle the penetrating partner's penis or dildo into the prostate. The low, arched angle of the receiver's hips can help expose the prostate, while the penetrating partner's higher ground can make it easier to hit it. Both of these things work together to make the magic happen - and without getting too complicated!
Good to Know: Both partners can adjust their angle to really get things in the right spot with this sex position. The receiving partner can play with their pelvic tilt while the penetrating partner can lean in or lean backwards to change their penis trajectory with each thrust.
Try It With: A bit of bondage! The elevated, "face down, butt up" position of the receiver can make the Leap Frog position feel a bit kinky. Adding some restraints to the mix can really make it feel kinky. A spreader bar at the receiver's ankles wouldn't get in the way, and you have all the options open with the receiver's upper body. Restraints could also be added to the penetrating partner, but I recommend a bit of caution to ensure your bondage doesn't get in the way of their balanced position.
The from-behind set-up of the Hooked In Position can really target the prostate. At the same time, all of the skin-on-skin contact can feel intimate despite the lack of face-to-face positioning here.
Stability should always come first, so choose an angle for both partners that allows you to stay safely upright. However, if you want to explore different angles for prostate pleasure, doing the HookedIn Position up against a wall allows the receiver to lean forward to brace themselves to direct the penis (or dildo!) into different spots.
Good to Know: The Hooked In position really requires that both partners have about the same thigh height. For many couples, this won't be the case. Doing this position on stairs (if you have the balance!) or on top of an elevated surface (like an aerobics step!) can help even out the height differences if you still want to try it.
This Happy Baby position is famous for G-spot stimulation; it can be just as good for those seeking prostate pleasure. The folded-up position of the receiving partner really places the prostate as close to the surface as possible, making it easier to hit during intercourse. Now, you'll have to be folded into a pretzel to make that happen, but even less extreme versions of this position can still reap some of the P-spot pleasure benefits.

Good to Know: If you're a receiving partner with a penis, having the penetrating partner lie on top of the penis (and testicles!) can be uncomfortable during Happy Baby. Make sure to speak up if you need the penetrating partner to support more of their body weight and reduce pressure on the testicles.
Try It With: This position is famous enough that sex toy manufacturers craft sex positioning straps just to make this position more comfortable for the receiver. The Sportsheets Sex Sling and G-Spot Link help anchor the ankles near the head to reduce strain on the receiving partner.
Eiffel Tower Sex Position
The deep, bent over position of the Eiffel Towel Sex Position can make it a prostate-seeker's best friend. Not only does this make the anal canal feel tighter, but it helps direct the penis towards the innermost, sensitive spots that might be harder to hit in your standard sex positions.
While many people will find that the Eiffel Tower hits their prostate as-is, this is a great position in which to experiment with dildos or penis extenders if you aren't feeling that P-spot touch. Thicker options may better hit the spot with this one.
Good to Know: This sex position requires a deep stretch and some good flexibility from the receiver, but you can cheat your way a little bit. Simply do this sex position in front of a sturdy, stable surface that the receiver can lean onto. Your bed or a chair (braced up against the wall) can be a great surface for the receiver to lean on. This reduces the active flexibility required from the receiver while simultaneously reducing the balancing act required to pull off this position.

Try It With: A penis extender. The deep, bent over position of the receiver makes anal canal feel tight. Plus, if you both love the feeling of fullness, making the penis a bit thicker can feel drastically different in this position. Try a vibrating penis extender, like the Zero Tolerance Cock Armor or Gender X Rocketeer, to add sensations for both partners.
Happy Scissors Sex Position
Add a bit of flavor (and P-spot seeking!) to your standard Missionary position with the Happy Scissors position. Resting the receiver's hips on top of the penetrating partner's lap makes it easier to target the prostate than standard Missionary position. It's almost like you're using their lap like sex furniture to make it easier to hit that innermost spot.
Good to Know: The receiver's pelvic tilt can really matter here. Think about arching the back - or crunching inwards to help adjust your pelvic tilt. You'll probably find that one of the options feels like a better prostate position than the other.
Try It With: Since the receiver is, quite literally, using the penetrating partner's lap as a piece of sex furniture, it can be hard to get a lot of in-and-out thrusting with the Happy Scissors position. Instead, use sex toys to add extra sensation for the both of you to get you where you need to go. This can be a great option for cock rings (like the Fun Factory NOS or Tantus Vibrating Supersoft) as the two of you will stay in close contact throughout this position.
Extended Cowgirl Sex Position
Good prostate sex positions don't have to be too challenging or difficult, and the Extended Cowgirl Position is an example of that! The laid-back position of the receiver helps push their partner's penis or dildo up towards the front of their body, towards the prostate. You can both explore that angle at your leisure, with a position that's extremely easy for the penetrating partner and a light workout for the receiver.

The Extended Cowgirl position may not be a great fit if you know your prostate is near the entrance. This deeper position keeps the penis relatively deep, and it can be dangerous to do full pull-out strokes in this one.
Good to Know: If you don't know where your prostate is, this can be a great position for experimenting if you have a patient partner. Since the receiving partner controls the exact angle and depth of penetration, they can easily try out a bunch of movements and adjustments to find the best way to hit their innermost spot.
Try It With: A couple's vibrator. While the U-shaped couple's vibrator shown above may not work anally, there are other options that are safe for anal play. The Vibrating Girth Enhancer Extension would be a great option to add vibrations internally while playing. For people who want sensations without the vibrations, anal-specific toys like the Oxballs Glowhole, Oxballs Double Thruster, or Perfect Fit Anal Sleeve Plug could be a good fit here.
Desk Domination Sex Position
The Desk Domination position lets the two of you explore P-spot pleasure without fancy body positioning. You simply need to be able to lie down and stand up! This takes most of the flexibility and strength limitations of this sex position entirely out of the equation.
Choosing a "good" desk is vital in the Desk Domination position. If it's too low, the penis will be directed toward the desk's surface inside the partner, probably away from their P-spot. If it's too high, you won't be able to achieve penetration. You also need to choose a desk or table that's very stable and safe; this is not the way to test out the DIY furniture you made out of particle board last week! Good to Know: Depending on your bodies, the receiver may need to scoot to the very edge of the desk to make the anal entrance accessible. Make sure the table or desk you've chosen can support as much weight as you need on a single side without tipping.

Try It With: The Desk Domination position is a great fit for added sensual play. Not only are you on a surface that can be easily cleaned up, but you both have full use of your hands to add extra pleasure. Nipple suckers, vampire gloves, or gags can be a great fit here.
Tuck Knee Sex Position
Think of Tuck Knee like another modified Missionary position. By elevating the hips, the penetrating partner's penis or dildo trajectory magically changes during sex, making for deeper penetration instead of thrusts that hit the dorsal side of the anal canal. This can help direct the shaft straight into the prostate for delicious, leg-shaking sensations for the receiver.
Good to Know: This position can place a lot of stress on the receiver's body, especially once the penetrating partner's upper body weight leans entirely onto their legs. If this is stressing parts of the receiver's body, let the receiver's legs hang to the sides of the penetrating partner (to reduce that deep stretch and "balled up" feeling) while doing this position up against a headboard (so the penetrating partner can place a hand up on the wall to help support some of their own weight).
Try It With: Sex furniture! This one can be a baddie on the receiver's lower back unless you have the perfect mix of strength and flexibility. Instead of worrying about your core quaking, use some sex furniture under the receiver's hips to make this position easier. Any wedge-shaped sex furniture will slide perfectly under the receiver to support the lower back while simultaneously reducing the strength required from the penetrating partner. Some options:
Cowgirl sex positions can have some prostate and G-spot magic to them, and the Reverse Cowgirl Anal position is no different. This position sees the receiving partner facing the giver's feet.
Once the receiver leans back, this places the prostate directly on top of their partner's penis, making for some serious prostate potential. The receiving partner can easily adjust the intensity by adjusting their pelvic tilt or upper body lean.
Good to Know: Full up-and-down thrusting may not feel easy to do in this position. Lucky for us, a grinding, hip "flicking" motion, forward and backward, is likely to better stimulate the prostate anyway. Thrusting may not be the big name of the game with this one!
Try It With: A sex swing. Yeah, yeah, I know, that escalated quickly. But the receiving partner will likely find a spot where they think they can get more prostate stimulation theoretically - but they simply can't safely lean back any further. (Most of us can't get into the Acrobat position!) A weight-supporting sex swing, attached to the ceiling, can be the answer here. The receiving partner can grab onto the sex swing's straps, using them as "pull up straps," and easily lean back further without involving their core or accidentally falling backwards.

Flat Doggy Style Sex Position
The Flat Doggy Style sex position takes the fun of Doggy Style and makes it more likely to hit the prostate. (That's a win-win if you ask me!)
When both partners lean forward, it makes the prostate easier to hit. It's a small modification, but it works wonders! The forward leaning position, however, can be harder to hold than the standard, 90-degree-angle positioning of the standard Doggy Style position.
Good to Know: Elevating the hips is what helps make it easier to hit the prostate. However, couples can explore a variation where the receiving partner is lying fully flat on the ground. This will make it easier to hold the position for long periods of time, and you both may naturally find yourself hitting that variation after a while due to fatigue.
Try It With: Vaginal and penis vibrators! Since the penetrating partner is supporting their body weight with their hands, they won't be able to use them for additional pleasure. Consider toys that are designed to stay in place hands-free, like the Hot Octopuss Jett, We-Vibe Bond, or a Lovense Lush 3.
